RFC is the research and development wing of the organisation. It basically formulates itself to do relevant R & D for meeting the organizations’ research requirements essential for organizational growth and expansion. In other terms RFC is the knowledge management forum within the organisation. MEDM and EDC cater to the creation of sustainable and commercially feasible enterprises and next generation of entrepreneurs respectively. The group, which is not catered to, is that of different entrepreneurs who have initiated and plunged into the enterprise building but lack in some or the other skills to run the enterprise successfully. RFC also visualizes itself catering to this particular target group either helping them directly or providing proper linkages. Assignments Undertaken:- Developed a strategy for rejuvenating a handmade papermaking unit at Sevankarayanpatty in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu for M S Swaminathan Research Foundation. Also suggested marketing initiatives to enhance sales in South India.
- Developed a case study on Nuapatna Handloom Cluster Development Project for Dastkar Andhra. The case study was presented at National Conference on “Growth in Handloom Sector – The Custer Methodology”.
- Conducted a feasibility study for rejuvenating three micro enterprises under the Indira Kranthi Pratham (Velugu) Project for DRDA, Vishakhapatnam.
- Facilitated FUN Camp – a village exposure visit for urban school students at Tilonia, Rajasthan for PRAVAH
- Developed a marketing strategy through volunteers for a women’s masala making unit in North East Delhi. The assignment was undertaken for an NGO called Parichay.
- Conducted an experience sharing session for Going To School, New Delhi as a foundation for developing media for promotion of entrepreneurship amongst youngsters.
- Conducted a pan India research study on Water and Livelihoods for International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Anand.
- Conducted an impact assessment study of the Deen Dayal Hatkargha Protsahan Yojna (DDHPY) in Orissa for Ministry of Panchayati Raj with Dastkar Andhra.
- Conducted a study on alternative livelihood options for Begampur Khatola village in Gurgaon, Haryana as a part of the CSR initiative of SONA KOYO Steerings Ltd.
- Developed a business plan for ‘Rangsutra’ – A producer company formed by five different artisan groups in India.
- Conducted a sub sector analysis for identifying enterprise and livelihood opportunities for youth and women self help groups in Roorkee District, Uttar Pradesh. This study was conducted under the CSR initiative of Asahi Glass Ltd.
- Conducted a production and market feasibility study for Kashmir Handmade Pashmina in the Srinagar District of Jammu & Kashmir with Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), New Delhi.
- Conducted an exploratory study of 6 NGOs in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand who are the implementing partners of the Disha Project of Indian Council for Research on Women (ICRW), New Delhi.
- Conducted an Entrepreneurial Motivation and skill building training for NASSCOM Foundation in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The training was conducted for the ICT Knowledge Centre Managers in the state of Orissa.
- Initiated the data collection process for “Situational Analysis and Livelihood Intervention Project” in 3 districts of Assam for International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Anand.
- Conducted a study on “Rise in cost of irrigation due to rise in diesel prices” for International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Anand.
- Conducted an exploratory study for setting up of Micro Enterprise Division and conducted a 3-day conceptualization workshop for setting up of Micro Enterprise Division at Viveka Service Society, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. The study was conducted for Friends of Women’s World Banking (FWWB), Ahemdabad.
- Conducted three days Training of Trainers programme for NASSCOM Foundation to make ICT Knowledge Center self- sustainable.
