While highlighting the importance of ‘marketing of products/services’ in entrepreneurship during the trainings, Dhriiti realized that it was ‘entrepreneurship’ itself that needed better marketing and publicity since the concept is rarely discussed, and hardly ever highlighted by the society per se. The contributions of the big and small entrepreneurs to our society and economy do not receive the acknowledgement and the appreciation they deserve. Every issue that has become an important part of the living rooms conversations today was under wraps at some point of time. It has to be brought out, discussed and made important in the eye of the common man. While the public eye can be caught through a variety of media, we at Dhriiti believe that the best strategy to promote entrepreneurship would be to get the entrepreneurs, their ideas, contributions, innovations and their lives together which can be narrated and celebrated on a common public platform.
The objectives of such an initiative would be:
- To create more awareness about entrepreneurship and make it a respectable career option in the eyes of the youth, society and media.
- To glorify the contributions of the big and small entrepreneurs to the society, economy and the government which have gone unnoticed till date.
- Create a platform for the entrepreneurial minds to come together and discuss their ideas, enterprise options, doubts and anxieties comfortably with each other and with experts and professionals.
- To document and celebrate the stories of a few interesting entrepreneurs around us.
