A look into the developed nation's histories proves that it has been the small-scale sector, which has resulted in successful industrialization and economic development. In India as well, the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector is well-recognised for its significant contribution to the socio-economic objectives of growth in generation of employment, output, exports and fostering entrepreneurship. Though every Five Year plan document schemes and subsidises for the upliftment of the cottage, small -scale industry, yet the results are not so promising and are only seen in vague quarters.
Dhriiti is an endeavor to promote and protect Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and to build and create a spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the next generation of Indians. It is an organization for the young and by the young. It is for those Youngsters who have the courage to say - 'We Can Change'
The core idea behind this project is the spirit of enterprise that we want to promote, introduce and inculcate. We realize the urgent need and potential that is present in the rural and semi urban communities in India . A potential which if exploited properly can yield tremendous results in the form of thousands of highly competitive small enterprises. Our attempt is to wed and juxtapose these potentials, to focus in the youth, and to promote small industries and its products in the light and benefits of modern tools of management and technology.
This sector is ideally suited to build on the strengths of our traditional skills and knowledge, by infusion of technologies, capital and innovative marketing practices. A long-term perspective on growth and development in the country cannot neglect this potential. Dhriiti is an effort towards achieving the Vision 2020 set by our esteemed President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Motivated by his Song of Youth , it is our dream to see a developed India in the era of free trade.
