Friends of Women World Bank-India
Friends of Women’s World Banking, India, (FWWB-I) is one of the first few
institutions created as an affiliate of Women’s World Banking in 1982 with an
aim to empower poor and asset-less rural and urban women by improving their
participation in sustainable livelihood activities through access to financial
services. FWWB is not only funding the “Arecanut Leaf Plate Manufacturing
Cluster Development Project” but is also a mentor to Dhriiti. FWWB was the
first to support Dhriiti financially and also has been guiding us to develop
our organization.

North East Development Finance Corporation
North East Development Finance Corporation (NEDFi) is the premier Development
Finance Institution of the North East of India including Sikkim. It provides
financial assistance to industries, infrastructure and agro-horticultural
projects in the North Eastern region. NEDFi is actively working with Dhriiti to
promote the Arecanut Leaf Plate industry in North East. Apart from sponsoring
training cum exposure visit of the selected entrepreneurs at Salem, NEDFi is
also providing loan facility to the entrepreneurs.

Pravah
Pravah is an Indian non-profit organization founded by a group of young
professionals with a view to influence societal issues. Their experience in
diverse fields like Human Resource Development, Theater, Psychology, Management
and Social Sciences has helped in developing innovative training methodologies
in the field of citizenship education. Dhriiti and Pravah share a complementary
relationship in youth training.

Youthreach
Youthreach was started with the basic premise that what is of real value in any
process of social change, is to sensitize and connect people from diverse
backgrounds and create programmes that make transformation possible. Presently
they are associated with Dhriiti as facilitators in implementing
entrepreneurship development program in the nonformal sector.

Dastkar Andhra
Dastkar Andhra works within Andhra Pradesh to promote the interests of the
producer communities within the cotton handloom weaving industry. Dhriiti’s
Research and Facilitation Cell is associated with Dastkar-Andhra by giving
professional assistance to various projects.

International Water Management Institute -
Anand.
International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is a non-profit scientific
organization funded by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural
Research (CGIAR). IWMI’s research agenda is organized around four priority
themes covering key issues relating to land, water, livelihoods, health and
environment. Dhriiti is currently working on a Multi Location Research study on
Water and Livelihoods for IWMI.
